The Head of the Syrian Democratic Turkmen Movement (DTM), Abdulkerim
Aga, has said "Syrians could not survive without humanitarian aid given
by Turkey," adding "Some people favoring the Syrian regime want to
defame Turkey's aid."
Aga spoke to an Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent in Irbil in northern Iraq where he paid a visit for political efforts.
The AA asked Aga if the trucks that delivered aid carried any weapons? He said, "no" and added they were carrying vaccines of polio, antibiotics, water demineralization and disinfectant materials and blankets.
Turkmens are the second largest ethnic group in Syria with a population of 3.1 million after the Arabs.

- "If we received weapons aid, this regime would have already been over," stated Aga.
- He went on to say that the Syrian people were left to suffer the attacks of terrorist organizations to derail the Syrian people's insurgency.
- "The Baath regime released the suicider bombers, who were in prisons, to take part in protests in Iraq, Turkey and Lebanon," he added.
